Our Philosophy

Healing Rooted in Connection to Our Shared Conscious Experience

The roots of our suffering are found in all forms of disconnection: disconnection from Self, the body, the mind, relationships, and the Earth that supports all life. The primary emphasis of my practice is moving beyond the limitations of diagnosis and symptom management and reconnecting with what deeply matters. Defining meaning and connecting with what matters is part of the exploratory process we will embark on together.

We are constantly interacting with and influenced by our environment. Each breath we take began its journey in the leaves of the plants around us! This is pretty amazing to think about. As we begin to heal, the separation we feel between ourselves, others, and the natural world begins to soften. This reconnection to others and the world around us can help heal the isolation and loneliness so many of us feel. We come to see ourselves as deeply connected to all that is. From this place, expanded possibilities arise…possibilities beyond what we ever imagined for ourselves and our lives.

Savannah Ludford, LICSW

My personal journey toward deep integration and wellness began in 2011 as I navigated my own experiences with addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Through a combination of psychotherapy, meditation, movement practices like yoga, hiking and trail running, and engagement with supportive recovery communities, I moved from a fear based, fragmented sense of self toward an integrated, compassionate, expansive, and ever evolving connected way of living.

The foundation of my personal growth and healing has been acceptance, compassion, curiosity, and radical inquiry into the nature of Self, the World, and Spirituality. I have so much gratitude for the life I am living. It is a great joy to share this gratitude with others and that is the driving force behind why I became a therapist.

Professionally, I began my career in 2014, supporting youth and families within the child protection and juvenile justice systems. I subsequently served as a clinician on a 24/7 crisis response team, providing intensive in-home and community-based support for teenagers and families managing acute behavioral and mental health challenges. Currently, my clinical work focuses on supporting adults navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, mood dysregulation, psychosis, and pervasive emotional sensitivity.

I am an active-duty military spouse and have lived the military lifestyle with my children for the past eight years. Being a military spouse brings a unique mix of rewards and challenges. We work hard to create stability for our families amid constant change and uncertainty. I see you. I hear you. I’m here for you.

Drawing from a post-traumatic growth and resilience-based lens, I help people reconnect with the wisdom within. Through curiosity and gentle inquiry, we begin listening to and healing parts of ourselves that have been lost or disconnected. Together we explore how life experiences have shaped beliefs about ourselves and the world, how present patterns and belief systems formed, and how past events continue to influence current experience.

I believe deeply in the body-mind-universal connection and in the ability of human beings to help one another heal through the interconnected processes of co-regulation and community. I offer breathing, mindfulness, and somatic-based practices to help deepen the connection between the mind and body, allowing the nervous system an opportunity to experience safety, ease, and connection.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2016 and am currently pursuing additional training toward my 500-hour yoga teacher training certification. My yoga training greatly influences my focus on honoring and connecting with the wisdom within the body. It also informs my attention to the ways the body holds emotional experiences and to the places within the body that may be asking to be released, restored, and cared for.

Together, we will uncover your aspirations and develop meaning that aligns with your highest Self. Through EMDR, CBT, Ego states and Parts work, somatic, body psychotherapy practices, and mindfulness, we will develop a relationship with the Self, examine core belief systems, build new cognitive and body-based connections, and invite more insight and awe into your life.

Two unique areas of interest and focus for me are artificial intelligence and its impact on mental health, as well as psychedelics and the complexities that can arise in the weeks, months, and years following psychedelic experiences. You may also find yourself grappling with questions that feel beyond comprehension. If you have questions related to a psychedelic experience or the use of artificial intelligence. please reach out. I am here to provide a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Human beings are exceptionally resilient. I am deeply grateful to be a part of your journey as you begin to explore and embark on a path of well-lived life.
